How to download MANDATO
The only download the developer is selling today is the Windows build on itch.io. Steam is a store page without a build.
What I checked
I opened the itch.io purchase panel on 2026-10-06 and read the file row before I wrote these steps. It named mandato-win.zip, version 1.0.6, 1.1 GB, and a minimum of $1.49. I did not find a demo button or a macOS, Linux, or browser file on that page.
Steps that match the store page
Open the SolitaryStudios page on itch.io. Choose Buy Now and pay at least the current minimum. After payment, use Download. The file listed on 2026-10-06 was mandato-win.zip. Unzip it on Windows and start the game from the extracted folder. itch.io also lets you install through the itch app.
- Platform printed on the page: Windows.
- List price $2.99, sale price $1.49 or more (50 percent off on that date).
- Version 1.0.6, about 1.1 GB.
- Keyboard and mouse. Subtitles are marked on the itch.io page.
Why it is not free
Keneth Agar wrote on the itch.io page that Chapter 1 was planned as a free release, then a laptop graphics card failed and the chapter became a small paid build. pinoygamer.ph reported an earlier shelf price of $1.94 (Php 121.45) on 2026-09-23, so the number moves. Treat $1.49 as a snapshot, not a promise.
A comment archived in the r/FreeGameFindings itch.io mega thread on 2026-09-07 pointed at an itch.io launch sale said to expire 2026-12-31. I am not treating that date as a live guarantee. Check the store page the day you buy.
What you need to run it
Steam lists minimum specs even though it will not let you download yet: Windows 10, 4 physical CPU cores, 8 GB RAM, Intel UHD Graphics 630 or similar, and 3 GB free. The itch.io download itself is 1.1 GB compressed, so leave room to unpack it.
