Chapter 1
MANDATO ending explained
There is one ending on the recordings. Juan does not turn on the mayor. The chapter tells you it is only chapter 1.
What I checked
I transcribed the last two minutes of the Kubz Scouts upload, then the same stretch of ItsDaKimchi and of kpmRd_5KiHE. The doctor’s line and Juan’s monologue match. I am not going to pick whether Leah’s death is the same night or a memory. The videos do not agree with each other on that, and the store page does not settle it.
What happens
At the hospital a nurse tells Juan to wait. The doctor says they did everything they could and could not save the child. Juan then speaks, still in defense of Mayor Perez. The itch.io and Steam pages both call the game a short linear first-person narrative. I have not seen a second ending in the full uploads I used.
The monologue, as three recordings say it
“I didn’t know who was behind what happened, but I knew it couldn’t be Mayor Perez. People were always eager to blame him, especially Mina. They didn’t see everything he had done for this town. Maybe someone was using his name. Maybe he didn’t know what was happening. Whatever the truth was, I would prove that they were wrong about him.”
That is the hook for a later chapter: Juan and Mina are on opposite sides of the same suspicion. A screen after the monologue says the game is in development, that you are playing chapter 1, and that bugs may remain. Kubz Scouts shows that card around 39:40.
The reading the videos leave open
Some players talk about the hospital as something that already happened. Others play it as the night of the shift. I am leaving both readings on the table. The child’s drawing is in the bedroom at the start, which is why the “already happened” reading exists. Nothing in the official blurb names a date for Leah’s death.
